Giving Back
What’s your Little Caesars doing in the community?
You can find donation coin jars at all three of our locations for miscellaneous charities throughout the year including MDS, and Coins for Care Packages-Iowa Troop Pantry.
2012 marks the first year Little Caesars has partnered with the Cedar Rapids Fire Department for the CRFD Firebowl event, as one of its major sponsors. Folds of Honor is the 2012 CRFD Firebowl Charity recipient.
The Folds of Honor Foundation creates post-secondary scholarships for children of Iowan soldiers who have fallen or been wounded while defending freedoms for this great country. Their mission is to honor the sacrifices that military families have made by providing post-secondary scholarships to the children of service members.
Little Caesars of Cedar Rapids has received recognition in raising the most money through its Coins For Care Packages program, where funds gathered provide care packages filled with necessities and small gifts to those Iowan military service members deployed overseas. All three of the Cedar Rapids locations took 1st through 3rd place; raising over $624.50. It is our customers who have generously donated their change to support such a great cause and a sincere thanks goes out to all of our wonderful customers.
Little Caesars of Cedar Rapids donated pizzas to the March of Dimes March for Babies event in 2010 and 2011. For more information on the event, please visit the March of Dimes website marchofdimes.com
Little Caesars is a locally owned and operated restaurant and is constantly involved in community related events. If you would like to have the involvement with your local Little Caesars in your next event, tell us why Little Caesars and let us know what your ideas are for how you’d like us to be involved. Do you want the Little Caesars guy to show up to your event? Do you want Little Caesars branded goodies to hand out? Do you want your team sponsored by Little Caesars? Let us know! We do ask that you give us at least a month notice of your request, so that we can plan ahead.
You will be asked to fill out a form for our records to indicate what you are specifically requesting, when, how many people will be in attendance at your event, what type of event you are holding and your organization’s charitable tax id #, and when the deadline is to respond. All requests will be handled via E-mail.
We love to be able to help the community around us, so it’s important that we get all the right information at the appropriate time so we can all plan for a successful event! Please also remember that although we want to help as many organizations as we can, it’s not always possible and we have a limited budget for events/sponsorships and donations. Last minute requests are also hard to honor so, we appreciate your consideration of this when requesting participation.

Here are a few other ways we’ve involved in the community.
- Little Caesar has hung out with everyone at the Eastern Central Autism Society’s Autism Walk at the Westdale Mall in 2010 and 2012. Volunteers got free pizza for all their efforts with the event.
- Little Caesars sponsored a Little League baseball team for the 2010 baseball season.
- Little Caesar himself came to the March of Dime’s March for Babies event at Noelridge Park where he greeted participants. Pizza was also donated for all those hungry participants.
- Junior Achievement, a non-profit group who specializes in education, received free pizza and crazy bread at their Titan Challenge event held at Kirkwood College.
- The Hot-N-Ready rig was in the Freedom Festival parade. Little Caesar waved to all the many spectators while his crew handed out free cookies, candy and coupons. Look for the Super Cool Hot-N-Ready Jeep at the Little Caesars located on Collins Road.
- The traveling Little Caesars’ Love Kitchen came to town in early July. Your local Little Caesars supplied the food and labor to make and donate 50 pizzas to the Mission of Hope, where they helped feed people in need.
- Little Caesar got down and showed off his dance skills at a pep rally before a health walk at Grantwood Elementary in 2012. Little Caesar made it around the track several times with students cheering him on and walking along side him.
- The Cub Scouts were able to make pizza box ovens to make s’mores in, using donated Little Caesars Italian Cheese Bread boxes.
